Imagine something that’s objectively—or admittedly—irregular and necessarily a little bit outlandish, yet specifically not so outlandish in the broader scheme. (A little odd, right? Ultimately a subjective call against a moving goal post, but what can you do. 🤷‍♂️)

The idea of french fries in soft serve is irregulandish, for example.  Irregular method of consumption, not so outlandish as to be "no longer that thing" purely because of the distinction. It stands out to many, but is an acceptable or tolerable deviation/risk.
